Inspire harmonised – soundings

The results of sounding are made available in DOV. When applying the sounding, a cone point is pressed by means of tubes statically depressed the ground. Either continuously or at defined depth intervals, the resistance at the conut point, the local friction resistance and/or the total intrusion resistance shall be measured. Alternatively, the water stress in the soil around the cone may be measured by means of a water voltage meter during the sounding. The pressure of the sondeer tubes at depth is done by means of a pressure device. The necessary reaction for the pressure of the tubes is provided by an anchorage and/or by the weight of the sounding trolley. The total pressure capacity varies from 25 kN to 250 kN, depending on the device and method of adjustment.
