This dataset is power grid topology data dedicated to testing graph computing algorithms for power flow calculation, including two test cases: ACTIVSg25k and ACTIVSg70k. ACTIVSg25k and ACTIVSg70k are open high-fidelity transmission system test cases funded and developed by the U.S. Department of Energy, both generated via anonymization of real power grid data. Specifically, ACTIVSg25k is a system with 25,000 nodes, which mainly simulates the structure of the Texas (ERCOT) power grid, and is applicable to distribution network analysis, renewable energy integration and related algorithm research. In contrast, ACTIVSg70k has a larger scale, containing approximately 70,000 nodes, representing a portion of the U.S. Eastern Interconnection, and is suitable for large-scale transmission system analysis, wide-area monitoring and high-voltage power grid research. The test cases are described in XLS files exported via pandapower, which include multiple worksheets.
