Utah Monuments and Markers

This dataset enables historians, researchers, and citizens to access the name, location, text, photos, and other information about markers located throughout Utah. A marker contains the text and may be a bronze, aluminum, or wood plaque. The monument holds the marker and, in most cases, is a freestanding structure made of wood, stone, or brick. In cases where the marker is inscribed directly on the monument, then the marker and the monument are the same.本数据集可供历史学家、研究人员及普通民众查询遍布犹他州（Utah）全境的标识牌（marker）相关信息，涵盖标识牌名称、地理位置、文字内容、照片及其他相关资料。标识牌承载相关文字，材质可为青铜、铝或木质牌匾。承载标识牌的纪念碑（monument）多数情况下为木材、石材或砖块构筑的独立式构筑物；若标识牌文字直接镌刻于纪念碑本体之上，则标识牌与纪念碑为同一实体。
