This map layer, produced by the DRAAF Languedoc-Roussillon at INRA, is an indicator of agronomic potential for “large and diversified crops” uses of agricultural soils in Languedoc Roussillon. This map layer is an indicator of agronomic potential for “large and diversified crops” uses of agricultural soils in Languedoc Roussillon. 14 soil fertility classes are declined. Built from the map of soil-landscapes (Base de données Sols in Languedoc-Roussillon) at 1/250000th, it makes it possible to identify statistically the agronomic potential present in the regional territory. The database makes it possible to prioritise soil qualities in the dominant soil quality index in the cartographic unit. On the other hand, the resolution of the starting data (1/250000) makes the contours of the Cartographic Units of Soils inappropriate for restitution at the communal level.
