Digital Application Platform for Intelligent Sensing Systems of Oil and Gas Pipeline Networks is primarily built for research on safe and efficient operational status monitoring of cross-regional complex oil and gas pipeline networks, and to meet national energy supply security guarantee demands. Against the backdrop that over 95% of China's onshore oil and natural gas are transported via pipelines, current pipeline sensing technologies face pain points including insufficient detection of tiny pipeline body defects and weak threat early warning capabilities, failing to meet the development requirements of "Smart Pipeline Networks". The platform is supported by a project under the National Key Research and Development Program of China, and is based on 10 typical scenarios such as the Ruili Tank Farm of the China-Myanmar Oil and Gas Pipeline and the Heihe Operation Area of the China-Russia Oil and Gas Pipeline. It collects data through 7 types of self-developed sensors including confined space hydrocarbon monitoring sensors and distributed single-fiber multi-parameter detection sensors, as well as existing equipment such as SCADA systems, video surveillance systems and geological hazard monitoring systems. It mainly records observation indicators such as oil and gas leakage concentration, pipeline stress and strain, corrosion rate and vibration frequency. The collected data is accessed via standardized interfaces and processed through multi-source fusion algorithms, integrating both structured and unstructured data, with a total volume of approximately 1 GB. This platform can support real-time monitoring, dynamic early warning and intelligent decision-making for three major risk assessment scenarios: oil and gas leakage, pipeline surrounding environment and pipeline body defects, and is of great significance for improving the level of pipeline network monitoring and achieving independent and controllable pipeline sensing technologies.
