New Zealand island-resolved grid emission factors, 2015 to 2050: data and code

Hourly and annual grid emission factors for the North and South Islands of New Zealand. The historical series (January 2015 to December 2025) is built from Electricity Authority half-hourly metered generation, on a generation basis and on a consumption basis that follows flows on the HVDC link. The projection reconstructs the five MBIE Electricity Demand and Generation Scenarios 2024 at hourly resolution for each island, 2024 to 2050. This deposit holds the code, the emission factor tables, the raw Electricity Authority inputs, and the large files that do not fit on GitHub. It supports the paper 'Where, when, and which future: decomposing grid emission factor error in building life cycle assessment' (Arab Anvari et al., under review). Database version 1.0.2.
