X-ray follow-up to the Deep NIR Monitoring Campaign of Cyg OB 7

We have recently participated in an intense nearIR (NIR) monitoring campaign ofthe embedded star forming region Cygnus OB7. It has revealed the region is richin dynamic protostars, eruptive T Tauri stars and Class II objects. There areseveral newly discovered protostars which have shown multiple events of 3+magnitudes, with periodic and quasiperiodic variations on time scales of monthsand years. NIR classification can even change between observations. We seek two70 ks XMM observations to measure the Xray luminosity of the known Class 0IIsources including eruptive T Tauri stars as well as to identify new Class IIIsources in an extremely young active region. truncated!, Please see actual data for full text [truncated!, Please see actual data for full text]
