Kilometres of main track per rail profile since 2006. On the main tracks, we usually find profiles 50E2 (50 kg per meter) and 60E1 (60 kg per meter). As part of the gradual renewal of the rails on the main tracks, the old profiles are replaced by the 60E1 profile. The generalization of the rails with the 60E1 profile is justified by:-favourable purchasing conditions, and the greater stability and durability of this profile (longer service life, less tendency to break the rail, etc.).The current designation of the profiles is based on European standards....
