Honey bee gut microbiome samples were collected after feeding honey bees one of four pollen and nectar derived phytochemicals with known promote to health and longevity. The purpose of this study was to draw associations between the composition of the gut microbiome and the known benefits of the phytochemicals and utilize this information to develop targeted dietary supplementation.
