KRAFT-30: An annual 30 m forest above-ground biomass dataset for Southwest China's karst region from 1986 to 2024, Part 2: 1999–2011

This record is Part 2 of 3 of the complete KRAFT-30 annual forest aboveground biomass dataset for Southwest China's karst region, covering 1999–2011. KRAFT-30 is a 30 m annual forest aboveground biomass (AGB) dataset for Southwest China's karst region spanning 1986–2024. The dataset covers Yunnan, Guizhou, Guangxi, and Hunan provinces and was generated using a two-stage reconstruction framework that integrates National Forest Inventory observations, Sentinel-2 imagery, canopy-height information, topographic and climatic variables, and long-term Landsat observations. Dataset reliability was evaluated using independent NFI validation, multi-cycle NFI assessments, canopy height model-based structural consistency analysis, comparisons with existing AGB products, and uncertainty assessment. KRAFT-30 provides a regionally adapted, spatially explicit, and temporally continuous data resource for forest carbon accounting, ecological restoration assessment, and long-term ecosystem monitoring in complex karst landscapes.
