Complete genome assembly of the strain CBS 6924 of the yeast Lachancea sp (taxid: 433476).

The genome of Lachancea sp. (taxid: 433476), strain CBS 6924, has been sequenced using Roche 454 technology (single and paired-end reads 8kb) and Illumina Solexa technology (single reads). The assembly was made with Celera Assembler (v6.1) and Newbler (v2.7). The final draft relies on 7 chromosomes, for a total size of 11,336,658 bp and a G+C content of 44%. Annotation of protein-coding genes (5149) was performed using the Amadea Annotation transfer tool (Isoft, France) and manually curated. Other genetic elements (tRNA and transposable elements) were expertly added.
