作为一种基于光子的微波信号生成方法,光电振荡器(OEO)有较大潜力满足现代雷达、无线通信和电子战系统等应用中对高中心频率和低相位噪声日益增长的需求。然而,用分立光电器件实现的传统OEO系统具有笨重的尺寸,因此,人们对具有芯片级集成的紧凑型OEO特别感兴趣。本课题提出了一种具有低相位噪声的混合集成宽带可调谐光学器件,并进行了实验演示。所提出的混合集成光学器件实现了高集成度。集成的OEO获得了从3GHz到18GHz的宽带调谐范围,功率平坦度小于1dB。
As a photonic-based microwave signal generation method, the optoelectronic oscillator (OEO) has great potential to meet the growing demand for high center frequency and low phase noise in applications such as modern radar, wireless communication, and electronic warfare systems. However, traditional OEO systems implemented with discrete optoelectronic components have bulky sizes, so there is particular interest in compact OEOs with chip-scale integration. This study proposes a hybrid-integrated broadband tunable optical device with low phase noise, and an experimental demonstration is carried out. The proposed hybrid-integrated optical device achieves high integration. The integrated OEO achieves a broadband tuning range from 3 GHz to 18 GHz, with a power flatness of less than 1 dB.
