Indian Cinema Collection

This is a collection of materials about Indian films and cinema held at the AFI Research Collection (AFIRC). The AFIRC has been collecting items for many years (since the 1950s) on Indian Cinema. (particularly around Satyajit Ray and collecting Indian film journals of the 1950s-70s). In recent years at the AFIRC, materials about Indian Cinema have been sort after by researchers and students interested in Bollywood. The materials in this collection are consist of clippings files, books, and journal articles.
