Available but Not Usable: Profiles of Family Capital and Parental Stress — analysis script, synthetic data and results
收藏资源简介:
Companion materials for the manuscript "Available but Not Usable: Profiles of Family Capital and Parental Stress and How Parents View Their Children's School Experience" (sole author; submitted to Research Papers in Education, 2026). Contents: (1) LPA_replication.R - complete analysis script (R 4.3.3; tidyLPA 1.1.0, mclust 6.0.1, lavaan 0.6-17, semTools 0.5-6, psych 2.4.1, mice 3.16.0) reproducing every number in the manuscript and Supplements S1, S5 and S6: sample and scales, descriptives and reliabilities, construct overlap, latent profile analysis with bootstrap likelihood ratio test (500 draws), three-step covariate model, BCH distal outcomes, sensitivity analyses, measurement invariance, bootstrap confidence intervals and refits, class separation, Figures 1 and 2, and synthetic data generation. (2) parents_synthetic.xlsx - SYNTHETIC dataset with the same columns as the original parent survey (Germany, May-June 2025), generated from the item means and covariances of the original data with the original missingness pattern; it contains no real respondent. Running the script on it reproduces the structure of all results, not the exact figures. (3) FragenCodes.xlsx and codebook.md - item codes, German item wording, variable coding and scale construction. (4) output/ - all result tables and figures written by the script on the original data, plus sessionInfo. (5) LPA_replication_run.log - console log of the complete run on the original data. Data availability: the original survey data (N = 875 submitted questionnaires; N = 579 analytic sample) are available from the author on reasonable request for scientific purposes, subject to a data-use agreement, in a reduced form (analysis variables only; coarsened demographic variables). Interview transcripts and the key linking interviews to survey records are not shared because of the risk of re-identification. Licence: code MIT; synthetic data and documentation CC BY 4.0.
