<b>Effects of elevated CO</b>_{<strong>2</strong>}

Aerobic metabolic rate (MR_a) and the critical oxygen tension (P_{<em>crit</em>}) of both the red (<i>Pleuroncodes monodon</i>)<i> </i>and yellow (<i>Cervimunida johni</i>) squat lobsters (OMZ species), under two <i>p</i>CO₂scenarios (~414 and 1400 µatm). Haemolymph pH, hemocyanin content, haemocyanin oxygen binding affinity (<i>p</i>₅₀), and haemolymph lactate content was measured in both species under normoxia, low <i>p</i>CO₂hypoxia and high <i>p</i>CO₂ hypoxia.
