The Building permit layer represents data extracted from Energov two times per week (Monday/Friday). A permit is required in most jurisdictions for new construction, major renovations, signs, pools, and earth movement. The data is symbolized by Permit Type under values such as Building Residential, Building Commercial, Sign Permit, Grading, and Film Permit. These permits are issued and managed by Forsyth County Planning & Community Development.
