Under certain conditions, this dataset uses the amount of oxidant consumed to oxidize reducing substances in 1 liter of water sample as an indicator, converted into the milligrams of oxygen required per liter of water sample when fully oxidized, expressed in mg/L. This indicator reflects the degree of pollution of water bodies by reducing substances, and also serves as one of the comprehensive indicators for the relative content of organic matter. This dataset can be used to conduct safety evaluations on the chemical oxygen demand (COD) status of rainwater discharge outlets, providing reference and technical support for government supervision and consumer purchasing decisions. 1. Data Collection: Information such as testing locations, survey methods, and testing items; 2. Rainwater Discharge Outlet COD Testing: Obtain relevant COD test results by detecting the chemical oxygen demand of rainwater discharge outlets; 3. Data Processing: Screen out the problematic COD test results of rainwater discharge outlets for evaluating the safety of local water environment. The detection rate of severe COD pollution at rainwater discharge outlets is calculated as: number of detected severe COD pollution cases / total number of COD tests conducted at rainwater discharge outlets; 4. Data Application: The detection results of severe COD pollution at rainwater discharge outlets can be used as a basis for edible safety evaluation, providing technical support for targeted supervision by regulatory authorities.
