BANKING SECTOR MODERNIZATION AND FINANCIAL STABILITY: THE ROLE OF LEGAL REFORMS AND PRIVATIZATION IN UZBEKISTAN

This thesis analyzes how legal reforms, Basel III implementation, bank privatization, and state support measures have strengthened financial stability and investment attractiveness in Uzbekistan’s banking sector. It concludes that regulatory modernization, reduced state ownership, and digital transformation play a key role in enhancing banking resilience and supporting sustainable economic growth.
