Stereo Martian Image Dataset是由北京航空航天大学的研究团队创建的首个火星立体图像数据集,旨在提升火星图像的质量。该数据集包含1350对由Perseverance火星车上的Mast Camera Zoom(Mastcam-Z)拍摄的立体图像,分辨率为1152×1600,涵盖了火星表面的四种主要地貌:岩石、土壤、沙地和天空。数据集的创建过程中,研究人员排除了严重遮挡、损坏或视差变化不明显的图像,确保了图像的高质量。这些图像经过JPEG压缩以模拟实际传输过程,用于研究火星图像的质量增强。该数据集的应用领域主要集中在火星图像的质量提升,旨在解决火星图像在传输过程中因压缩而引入的伪影问题。
Stereo Martian Image Dataset is the first Mars stereo image dataset developed by a research team from Beihang University, aiming to enhance the quality of Mars images. This dataset contains 1350 pairs of stereo images captured by the Mast Camera Zoom (Mastcam-Z) onboard the Perseverance rover, with a resolution of 1152×1600, covering four main landforms on the Martian surface: rocks, soil, sandy terrain, and sky. During the dataset creation process, researchers excluded images with severe occlusion, damage or insignificant parallax changes to ensure high-quality images. These images have been JPEG-compressed to simulate the actual transmission process, and are used for research on Mars image quality enhancement. The main application field of this dataset focuses on Mars image quality improvement, aiming to solve the artifact problem introduced by compression during Mars image transmission.
