Flaring Corona of FK Aqr

We propose to observe the lowmass active binary FK Aqr with XMM for 70ks. Thisobservation will result in a highresolution RGS spectrum in the 540 Angstromrange and high quality timing data from the EPIC detectors. Measuring the linefluxes of various temperature and density sensitive ions will allow us todetermine whether the corona of FK Aqr is heated by continuous microflaringactivity, construct the emission structure of the corona, measure abundances andestablish whether the FIP effect or other anomalies operate on it. truncated!, Please see actual data for full text [truncated!, Please see actual data for full text]
