Effects of adipocyte ablation on RPE/choroid complex in mice

Adipocytes are essential for mainteining homeostatic status of multiple organs. Here we report that adipocytes ablation leads to pro-inflammatory state of retinal pigent epithelium/choroid complex in the eye. iDTR (iDTR (C57BL/6-Gt(ROSA)26Sortm1(HBEGF)Awai/J) mice expressing adiponectin-Cre were treated with intraperitoneal injection of diphtheria toxin every day for 7 weeks. RPE/choroid complex samples were collected from eyes.
