Exosome miRNA sequencing of blood-loss rats

This study aims to characterize exosomal microRNA miRNA expression profiles in a rat model of acute blood loss using high throughput small RNA sequencing. Circulating exosomes were isolated from peripheral blood and their miRNA cargo was analyzed to identify differentially expressed miRNAs associated with hemorrhagic stress and systemic physiological responses. The results are expected to improve understanding of the molecular mechanisms underlying blood loss induced pathophysiological changes and to support the discovery of exosome derived miRNA biomarkers for early diagnosis, prognosis, and therapeutic monitoring of hemorrhage related conditions.
