Forest Functions in Saxony — Biosphere Reserves according to the Saxon Nature Conservation Act — with protected zones

The data set contains the biosphere reserves according to the Saxon Nature Conservation Act (SächsNatSchG) and the Federal Nature Conservation Act (BNatSchG) and their protection zones in the Free State of Saxony. Biosphere reserves are intended to represent characteristic ecosystems of the Earth. They primarily serve the protection, care and development of natural and cultural landscapes. The geographical name of the biosphere reserve is listed for each area. The data is used for the forest function map 1:25,000 of Saxony.
