Cytotoxicity of steroids and HSD inhibitors in isolated pig hepatocytes.

Cells (≈5×106 cells/plate) were incubated in the presence of different concentrations of steroids and inhibitors (0, 1, 10, 25 and 50 µM) for 48 h. Cell viability was evaluated by analyzing the luminescence intensity (RLU) normalized to mean value of cells without treatment. Data presented as Mean ± SD. Effects of steroids and inhibitors at different concentrations vs. cell viability were evaluated by one-way anova. Cell viability did not differ significantly (p>0.05) in the presence of steroids and inhibitors at any of the concentrations studied.
