O-CLIMBOX: design files, software and data of an open-source IoT multiparameter water quality station for coastal waters

Design files, software and data of O-CLIMBOX, an open-source, solar-powered IoT multiparameter water quality station for shallow coastal waters. A pump fills a flow cell in which dissolved oxygen, pH, electrical conductivity (with derived salinity and TDS) and temperature are measured over RS485 Modbus, and a second pump rinses the probes with fresh water. A 4G LTE edge gateway publishes the readings over MQTT to a Node-RED server with a MySQL database and a web portal, which also schedules the pumps and sends remote calibration commands confirmed by the sensors. The archive contains the STL files of the 3D-printed parts, the wiring diagram, the system architecture and the bill of materials (CC BY 4.0); the Node-RED flow and the web portal (GPL-3.0); the MySQL schema and the QARTOD-based quality-control script (MIT); and the readings of station O-CLIMBOX 03 with the QC-flagged continuous operation test (CC BY 4.0).
