Two Psedomonas strains

Two bacteria were isolated from the rhizosphere soil of wheat in a high yield farmland in Handan, Hebei province, PR China, named S9433 and S9602 respectively. The two strains showed some plant growth-promoting traits, such as producing NH3, protease and siderophore, solubilizing organic and inorganic phosphorus, and inhibiting various plant pathogens, suggesting their plant benificial roles. The results of multiphasic taxonomic approach, including overall genomic relatedness indices (average nucleotide identity and, digital DNA-DNA hybridization), phylogenetic analysis (based on the 16S rRNA gene and, multilocusple sequence analysis), physiological and biochemical taxonomic features proved that the strains represent a novel species of the genus Pseudomonas.
