Gas comma Dust comma and X-Rays in the Disks around T Tauri Stars

We have initiated a project to diagnose the intertwined processes of gasheating, dust settling and chemical processing in a set of wellcharacterizeddisks around T Tauri stars. We have developed detailed models describing gas anddust evolution in accreting disks irradiated by Xray and UV photons. Thesemodels are tested by molecular diagnostics obtained with (sub)millimeterinterferometers. However, detailed Xray spectra are not yet available for manyof these objects. Here, we request observing time to obtain Xray spectra fromseveral diskharboring T Tau stars at various inclinations, which will allow tomeasure gastodust ratios and provide important input to our chemical andturbulent models of circumstellar disks. truncated!, Please see actual data for full text [truncated!, Please see actual data for full text]
