The in vivo expression of the identified cyanobacterial recruits was studied in silico. It was found that 98% of cyanobacterial recruits of A. thaliana were expressed, and slightly less than 82% were expressed in rice. In S. bicolor, 83% were expressed, and 64% were expressed in poplar. In P. patens, S. moellendorffii, and C. reinhardtii, 88%, 84%, and 79% of cyanobacterial recruits were expressed, respectively.The plastid-to-nuclear gene homology.
