Protective effects of dietary phloretin on intestinal injury in broiler chickens with necrotic enteritis

A total of 288 1-day-old Arbor Acres chicks were weighed and randomly divided into three treatment groups based on similar body weight (average weight 41.675 g): negative control group fed with basal diet, the coccidia and C. perfringens infected group and, phloretin-treated and infected group. All broilers were weighed on d43 of the age after a 12 h fasting. Six chickens from each group were slaughtered for chyme sampling and further analysis.
