Replication Data for: Factors that influence acute malnutrition detection and treatment by community health promoters in Samburu and Turkana Counties, Kenya

This was a mixed-methods study as part of the USAID Nawiri program in Samburu and Turkana Counties to better understand how training, supervision, self-efficacy, social and peer support, supplies and equipment, stipends, and motivation affect community health promoters’ (CHPs) performance related to global acute malnutrition (GAM) detection and treatment. The quantitative component used survey data from a census of CHPs in selected community health units, analyzed through structural equation modeling. The qualitative component included focus group discussions with CHPs and key informant interviews with community health assistants to understand the challenges CHPs face.
