The dataset covers county-level social security development indicators spanning 2001 to 2023, sourced from 87 counties (cities, districts) under 14 prefecture-level administrative divisions including prefecture-level cities and autonomous prefectures in Gansu Province: Lanzhou, Jiayuguan, Jinchang, Baiyin, Tianshui, Wuwei, Zhangye, Pingliang, Jiuquan, Qingyang, Dingxi, Longnan, Linxia Hui Autonomous Prefecture, and Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. The included indicators are: the number of social welfare adoption institutions, and the number of beds in such institutions.
