ACCURACY AND EFFICIENCY OF REMOTE SENSING DATA IN LOCATION AND MONITORING OF AGRICULTURAL CROPS

Effective monitoring of agricultural crops is essential for ensuring food security and rational use of land resources. Since traditional monitoring methods are time-consuming and labor-intensive, approaches based on remote sensing (RS) and geographic information systems (GIS) have been widely used in recent years. In particular, vegetation indices such as NDVI, calculated based on Sentinel-2 satellite data, are widely used to monitor the photosynthetic activity of crops. Although NDVI is a simple and effective indicator, in some cases it may not provide sufficient accuracy to clearly distinguish different crops.
