The Assets topic examines laws, including codified customary and personal laws, governing women’s ownership, administrative authority over, and inheritance of immovable property; policies supporting joint titling, awareness campaigns, and statistical data on women’s property ownership; and perceptions of enforcement of property and inheritance laws in practice.
