Dataset for the Effect of Cognotive Behavioural Therapy on Health-Related Quality of life among Parents of Children Living with Cerebral Palsy

This dataset comprises anonymised quantitative data derived from a study investigating the impact of cognitive behavioural therapy on the health-related quality of life among parents caring for children with cerebral palsy . Data were collected using a pre-intervention, post-intervention, and follow-up design to assess both immediate and longer-term effects of the intervention. The dataset contains individual-level responses on health-related quality of life measures, as well as selected socio-demographic characteristics and, where relevant, group assignment variables. Health-related quality of life outcomes were computed in line with established scoring guidelines for the instrument applied, with both total and subscale scores included. Measurements were obtained at three distinct time points: baseline, immediately after the intervention, and during follow-up assessment. All records have been fully de-identified to protect participant privacy. Direct personal identifiers were removed, while potentially identifying variables were recoded or grouped to minimise re-identification risk. A comprehensive codebook accompanies the dataset, detailing variable definitions, coding structures, and scoring procedures. This dataset may be useful for secondary analyses focusing on caregiver well-being, psychological interventions, and quality of life in the context of chronic paediatric conditions.
