We report here the first draft genome sequence of the Burkholderia contaminans strain NZ isolated as jute plant endophyte from Dhaka, Bangladesh. The data submit-ted to GenBank for this strain will contribute to advancing our understanding of thisbacterium including the beneficial and pathogenicity-related genes it harbors.
