This dataset is constructed by retrieving merchandise sales data of brand stores in the Guangdong region via a dedicated platform. Its core purposes are to evaluate the sales performance of various products across different seasons in this region, gain insights into customer preferences and the size distribution of local customer groups by analyzing customer color preference and product size proportion data, optimize marketing strategies, and enable rational arrangement of production orders as well as targeted regional pre-distribution of goods. Data Collection: Sales-related data is collected, including order source store, color, size, season, province, city, district, product category and other relevant fields. Data Processing: Data cleaning operations are performed, including removing duplicate records, handling missing values, identifying and processing outliers, to ensure the accuracy and consistency of the dataset. Data Analysis: Statistical analysis is conducted on the preprocessed data. Firstly, the top 6 product categories ranked by sales volume in each season within the Guangdong region are identified. Then, separate analyses are carried out based on the "color" and "size" fields respectively. The color preference and size proportion of these top 6 product categories are calculated, where Color Preference = Order volume of a specific color for a product category / Total order volume of that product category, and Size Proportion = Order volume of a specific size for a product category / Total order volume of that product category. Through the above calculations, the product categories favored by local customer groups in each season, as well as the customer color preferences and size selection proportions for these categories, are derived. Finally, the analysis results are visualized using Business Intelligence (BI) tools based on a self-developed model. Data Application: The analysis results are applied to operational scenarios, helping brand stores better understand customer preferences and preferred product sizes across seasons in the region, so as to formulate more precise marketing strategies and guide enterprises to rationally arrange production and distribution.
