Noise Control Areas

This layer contains three types of noise areas as defined by colour and map tip. Schedule C (Refuse Collection hours in Downtown area) Schedule F (Prohibited Use of Leaf Blowers) Schedule B.1 (Intermediate zone) Please note that Schedule C and Schedule F areas have a slight overlap. 'Downtown Area' means the area of the City shown outlined in Schedule 'C' of the Noise Control Bylaw No. 6555. Within the outlined ‘Downtown Area’, the allowable hours for noise caused during bulk refuse collection by means of a mechanical or hydraulic lift installed in a motor vehicle are from 6:00am to 12:00am on any weekday or from 10:00am to 12:00am on any Saturday, Sunday or holiday. For more information see Section 19 Noise Control Bylaw No 6555. 'Prohibited Use of Leaf Blowers' means a person must not operate a leaf blower within the boundaries of the area outlined in Schedule F of the Noise Control Bylaw No. 6555. For more information see Section 14B Noise Control Bylaw No 6555. ‘Intermediate zone’ means those areas described in Schedule ‘B’ and that portion of the City shown outlined on Schedule ‘B.1’ of the Noise Control Bylaw No. 6555. The allowable noise levels that can be caused or received in an ‘Intermediate zone’ are specified in the Noise Control Bylaw No. 6555. For more information see Sections 5, 6, 6A, 7.

本图层包含三类依据颜色与地图标注定义的噪声管控区域，分别对应附表C（市区垃圾收集时段）、附表F（禁止使用吹叶机（Leaf Blower））及附表B.1（过渡区域）。请注意，附表C与附表F的管控区域存在轻微重叠。
“市区”指《第6555号噪声控制附例》附表C中划定的城市辖区范围。在该划定的“市区”范围内，使用安装于机动车上的机械或液压升降机开展批量垃圾收集所产生的噪声，允许作业时段为任一工作日的6:00至次日0:00，或任一周六、周日及法定假日的10:00至次日0:00。更多相关信息请参阅《第6555号噪声控制附例》第19条。
“禁止使用吹叶机”指任何人均不得在《第6555号噪声控制附例》附表F划定的区域边界内操作吹叶机。更多相关信息请参阅《第6555号噪声控制附例》第14B条。
“过渡区域”指《第6555号噪声控制附例》附表B中描述的区域，以及该附例附表B.1中列明的城市辖区范围。在“过渡区域”内，允许产生或接收的噪声限值已在《第6555号噪声控制附例》中明确规定。更多相关信息请参阅该附例第5、6、6A、7条。
