Cape Cod Outdoors

Cape Cod’s natural beauty is a defining feature of the region and a powerful draw for the millions of people who visit each year. Residents and visitors alike enjoy exploring the region's beaches, forests, trails, conservation lands, and other recreational spaces. This map-based online resource of outdoor recreational sites includes filters to sort by location, activity, type, accessibility features, and more. Each location features an interactive map, photos, and detailed descriptions that highlight site features and accessibility. Users are also encouraged to share comments or suggest additional sites. Cape Cod Outdoors was developed with funding from the Massachusetts Office of Outdoor Recreation, in partnership with the Compact of Cape Cod Conservation Trusts and the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce. The sites inventoried as part of Cape Cod Outdoors will also be included in a statewide web platform for promoting outdoor recreation in Massachusetts. By bringing these resources together in one centralized location, this project seeks to improve people’s ability to connect with nature, stay active, and appreciate the unique character of Cape Cod.
