This dataset contains records of glacial lake outburst flood (GLOF) events across different time periods. The data is sourced from historical records and remote sensing interpretations, primarily derived from the recently published High Asia glacial lake survey dataset, accessible at: https://essd.copernicus.org/preprints/essd-2020-57/essd-2020-57-manuscript-version4.pdf. It is compiled into a historical glacial lake disaster catalogue dataset for the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) covering the period from the 1970s to 2018. The dataset includes data fields such as name, ID, region, longitude, latitude, watershed, elevation, lake type, occurrence time and event characteristics. It adopts the UTM WGS84 coordinate system with a spatial resolution of 30 meters. A total of more than 30 events have been collected in this dataset.
