Questionnaires and dataset for article "The impact of COVID-19 on the mental health of students at a South African University."

The dataset is the result of two studies conducted (2017 and 2022) among first year students in the Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Science of the University of the Free State, South Africa, to determine the mental well-being of university students pre-COVID, and after the strict lockdown periods of the COVID-19 pandemic were terminated. The questionnaires used (DASS-21 and the MSLQ or Motivated strategies for Learning Questionnaire) are also included to explain the dataset. All information that could lead to the identification of an individual student has been removed.
