资源简介:

Built parallel to an existing roadway, the test road allows traffic to be safely diverted when detailed performance checks are needed—without disrupting drivers. It’s the only full-scale concrete pavement test facility of its kind in the Southeastern United States.
Florida’s warm and humid climate makes this site especially valuable for understanding how pavements perform in conditions very different from northern facilities like MnROAD in Minnesota. Combined with FDOT’s respected Accelerated Pavement Testing (APT) program, this test road positions Florida as a global leader in pavement innovation and research.

Three different surface textures were applied to the passing lane to study how each affects pavement friction and tire noise. These textures include Longitudinal Diamond Grinding (LDG), a Bridge Deck texture that combines longitudinal diamond grinding with transverse grooving, and the Next Generation Concrete Surface (NGCS) — a new type of longitudinal diamond grinding technique. The travel lane features only the LDG texture.
