Replication package and Online Appendix for: Explaining the Decline of Natural Wealth per Capita: A Three-Pillar ESG Analysis of the World Bank Wealth Accounts

This deposit contains the replication package and the Online Appendix for the article "Explaining the Decline of Natural Wealth per Capita: A Three-Pillar ESG Analysis of the World Bank Wealth Accounts" (Sustainability, MDPI). The replication package reproduces every table of results in the article, its Supplementary Materials and the Online Appendix. All results come from a single public source: the bulk download of the World Bank Sovereign ESG Data Portal of 1 May 2026, which is included unchanged with its SHA-256 checksum. The package also contains: the analysis dataset, with one row per country-year, and its codebook; thirty-one Python scripts, run in sequence by a master script; the exact versions of the software packages used; a verification report comparing every published value with the value the code reproduces. A full run takes about 45 minutes on two CPU cores, and all random elements are seeded. The Online Appendix (Online_Appendix.pdf) reports the full set of results of the article, in Sections OA1–OA26, Tables OA1–OA87 and Figures OA1–OA35. It covers the panel estimates for the environmental, social and governance pillars, the component decompositions of the Törnqvist index, the decomposition of per capita growth into stock growth and population growth, the joint specifications on a common sample, inference after lasso selection, and the clustering and machine learning modules. The Supplementary Materials published with the article contain the 30 tables and 3 figures cited in the main text. Two correspondence tables link the labels of the article, its Supplementary Materials, the Online Appendix and earlier versions.
