Sapote-associated arthropod assemblages, taxonomic turnover and ecological resource profiles at Cerro Campana, Peru (2025)
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains arthropod capture records, reconciled taxonomic inventories, ecological-attribute assignments, analytical outputs, and reproducible code associated with Colicodendron scabridum (sapote) in Lomas del Cerro Campana, La Libertad, northern coastal Peru. We conducted field sampling during January–February 2025 at five stations, sampling five individual sapote shrubs per station. We aggregated pitfall-trap records at the individual-shrub level, while compiling active-collection records at the station level. The integrated inventory comprises 2,946 arthropod captures assigned to 100 operational taxonomic units (OTUs), including 2,640 pitfall captures representing 75 OTUs and 306 active-collection captures representing 41 OTUs. The archive includes original unfiltered records, reconciled capture matrices, taxonomic identification and redetermination records, sampling metadata, and literature-derived ecological attributes describing adult feeding resources, immature resources, and adult foraging strategies. Ecological assignments are accompanied by taxonomic evidence grades and supporting source information. The dataset also provides machine-readable manuscript and supplementary tables, Python analysis scripts, Jupyter notebooks, analytical reference outputs, and documentation describing data structure, variable definitions, provenance, and computational procedures. These materials support the manuscript Taxonomic–ecological correspondence and spatial turnover in sapote-associated arthropod assemblages of coastal Peru, prepared for submission. Analytical data provenance and reproducibility The primary count matrices are 01_trampas_25_plantas.csv (shrub-level pitfall captures) and 02_activa_5_estaciones.csv (station-level active collections). Station-level pitfall and integrated inventories are provided in 03_trampas_5_estaciones.csv and 04_integrada_5_estaciones.csv. The ecological-profile reconstruction uses two sheets of the accompanying attribute workbook: 18_RASGOS_CODIFICADOS, containing adult and immature resource codes and evidence grades, and 27_D_TRAZABILIDAD_OTU, containing adjusted adult-foraging codes and evidence grades. The workbook also retains bibliographic sources, code definitions, reconciliation records, and derived analytical summaries. The archive includes source code, fixed random seeds, Monte Carlo settings, independent verification outputs, and computational environment documentation.
