Pierre Deligne: Canonical French and English Corpus Archive

Maintained author-corpus archive. This is the single versioned Zenodo line for Pierre Deligne papers, supported letters, standalone French and English working editions, source-control evidence, and every release-ready translation supplied in any language. Primary readers. Deligne_FR.pdf and Deligne_EN.pdf are the active standalone cumulative readers through D008. Each has its own cumulative LaTeX master, and Deligne_Source.zip contains both masters plus the exact D001--D008 component TeX/PDF files. Current checkpoint. This version publishes the direct identity and boundary replay for Pierre Deligne's French Variétés de Shimura: interprétation modulaire et techniques de construction de modèles canoniques (D031), Proceedings of Symposia in Pure Mathematics volume 33 (1979), part 2. Both exact 43-leaf witnesses run from printed page 247 through printed page 289 and terminate with Corollary 2.7.21, bibliography 1--13, the SGA line, IHÉS address, and physical EOF. The header cites pages 247--290; neither witness contains page 290, so the discrepancy is preserved. The identity/source audit cursor advances to D032. Evidence availability. D031_Evidence.zip preserves the exact frozen authority PDF, independent comparison PDF, inherited French TeX candidate, all 30 pre-existing OCR locator files, 25 bounded visual-QA renders, the audit receipt, and per-file hashes. The candidate remains materially inaccurate and unverified. Direct checks prove an omitted norm arrow, a corrupted condition 2.0.1(a), an introduced inverse in the reciprocity sign convention, and Exposé 339 for source Exposé 389. Preservation rule. Unverified material remains outside the canonical readers, but its exact source, candidate, locator, audit, status, hash, and lineage evidence is kept online rather than solely on one PC. Preservation is not certification. Edition rule. Current production has exactly two independent deliverables: one standalone French edition and one standalone English edition. No bilingual, side-by-side, paired, parallel, or interleaved reader is current production. Earlier files whose names contain "Bilingual" are retained only as rejected historical evidence. Status, plainly. The cumulative mathematical readers contain D001--D008 only. D009 remains hard-stopped and unopened; D010--D031 have verified identity/source boundaries only and no opened edition roots. This bounded checkpoint does not claim that the whole author corpus is complete. How to use this release. Open the French or English reader first. Use README.md and DELIGNE_INDEX.csv for status/navigation. Use D031_Evidence.zip for the exact raw D031 bytes and CONTROL_D010-D031.zip for the receipts and append-only control snapshot. DELIGNE_WORKFLOW.zip is the controlling public workflow. Translation and structure. Target-language producers check and freeze their own files; this archive incorporates release-ready bytes without silently upgrading status. Canonical work retains stable identities, source spans, formulas, diagrams, dependencies, and source links for later Stacks conversion; actual Stacks conversion is deferred.
