资源简介:

Abstract: This file describes the data used in the manuscript “Degradation of Amazon Rainforest: The Effect of Selective Logging on Fire in Brazil’s State of Roraima”, submitted to Ecological Applications in 2026. The documents include spreadsheets (.Csv) and shapefile data, containing the georeferenced point observations (n=365) of Selective Logging (SL), fire occurrence (2016, 2019 and 2024), biomass and forest structure derived from forest inventories and field visits (ID, Latitude, Longitude, Date, Altitude, Location, Biomass_Mg_ha-1, SL, Fire, Cecropia spp. (n), SL_x_Fire, SL_x_Cecropia, Fire_x_Cecropia, SL_x_Cecropia_x_Fire) (Table 1). The documents also present data obtained from SL analysis by the Landsat-8 and Sentinel-2 satellites, from 2007 to 2024 (Table 2). The study area covers 3103.4 km2 (60.1 km × 51.7 km) along 52.7 km of the BR-174 (Manaus - Boa Vista) highway and 796.5 km of secondary roads (unpaved roads) (Figure 1). Figure 2 represents a “graphical abstract” of the Selective Logging in the study area, but from the point of view of log-storage yards (log landings or decks).
