Zoning

Zoning Districts are established in order to classify, regulate, restrict, and segregate the uses of land and buildings, to regulate and restrict the height and bulk of buildings, to regulate the area of yards and other open spaces around buildings, and to regulate the density of population. For more information refer to Municipal Code §17.20.020. The city is divided into the following zones: Changes to zoning codes or zoning are enacted through City Council ordinance or resolution.
