GRSM VEGETATION OVERSTORY 2004

This layer displays the mapped Overstory Vegetation classes created as part of the NPS Vegetation Mapping Inventory (VMI) project for Great Smoky Mountains NP, published in 2004. This version is not the most recent vegetation overstory map for GRSM. Those interested in the most recent version should reference GRSM_VEGETATION_INVENTORY. This 2004 vegetation map was created for VMI by the Center for Remote Sensing and Mapping Science at the University of Georgia. 170 overstory classes are represented in nearly 50,000 polygons park wide.
