The results reveal that the Carboniferous-Triassic mafic-intermediate igneous rocks serve as records of the Carboniferous-Permian arc-basin system and its Triassic closure in this region. The Bangxi-Chenxing Tectonic Zone separates southern Hainan from northern Hainan, and extends westward to the Songma-Ailaoshan Suture Zone.
