16S rRNA amplicon sequencing of CCS biofilms

Amino sugars N-acetylglucosamine (GlcNAc) and glucosamine (GlcN) are abundant sources of carbon and nitrogen in oral cavity. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of GlcNAc metabolism to the genomics and biochemistry of a saliva-derived microbial community, and the impact on surface integrity of human teeth and restorative surfaces.
