Toxicity study of ionic liquid and biodegration by aerobic bacterial granules

The present study deals with the cyto-genotoxicological impact of ionic liquids (ILs), and biodegradation. Aerobic bacterial granules (ABGs) are consortia of bacteria were developed in this context having promising ability to break down some organic pollutants. These ABGs were selected to enhance the degradation process and ease the conventional way of biodegradation process. The amplicon sequencing of ABGs gives insight the involvement of bacterial community in the biodegradation process.
